Julie is a multi-award winning artist living in Yorkshire. She is an Honorary Member of the Association of Animal Artists, a national art group for whom she was Chair for several years, with special responsibility for organising and curating exhibitions. Julie is also a signature member of the prestigious international group, Artists for Conservation. Winner of the Buxton Spa/Harold Riley Sketchbook Prize 2015 and the Christopher Parsons Award for Artistic Excellence in 2014 (The Wildlife Art Society International), Julie's work is exhibited widely, both nationally and internationally, with her work being exhibited with, amongst many others, the Royal Society of Marine Artists, the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art, the Society of Women Artists, the ING Discerning Eye, the Society of Equestrian Artists and the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year. Julie has twice won the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year (World Mammals category).
